About Christopher

Christopher was born in Boston, Lincolnshire in 1989. 

At the age of eight he began studying classical piano, with Vanessa Hunter B.Ed., but later switched his allegiance to jazz and popular music performance, under the guidance of Ray Fenwick; whilst studying a National Diploma in Music Practice at Boston College (2005-07).

In 2008 Christopher enrolled on a Bachelor of Music degree, studying at the University of Hull, and graduated with upper-second class honours in July 2011.

 

Whilst studying he undertook modules in Classical Music Studies and Studio Techniques, but specialised in Jazz and Popular music performance, receiving tuition from Dr. Peter Elsdon and Andy Cholerton.

In September 2011 Christopher resumed study at the University of Hull, enrolled on a Master of Music degree, specialising in Performance whilst also studying Musicology. Upon completion of the course in September 2012, Christopher began teaching piano privately whilst maintaining an active career as a freelance performer.
